Physical Therapy Aide and Administration Specialist (MedCerts)

Physical Therapy Aide and Administration Specialists support and report directly to physical therapists to assist with patient exercises, documentation, and clerical responsibilities. A physical therapy aide’s daily responsibility can include setting up treatment areas, preparing hot and cold packs, sanitizing equipment, and assisting with patient intake and documentation.

Upon completion of the Physical Therapy Aide and Administration Specialist program, students will be prepared to assist physical therapy teams by preparing spaces for patient treatment, monitoring equipment, and managing various administrative duties.

In This Program You Will:

• Understand patient preparation, including transfers and positioning
• Develop a comprehension of appropriate exercises, as well as heat and cold modalities
• Learn about the different types and maintenance of PT equipment
• Identify safety risks, policies and procedures
